2014 Christmas Cards

Last holiday season I worked on a few Christmas cards for Madison Park Greetings, and now I'm excited to say that I finally listed them in my shop! Magnets with these same animals and a few others will also be up soon, along with two more card sets. My plan is to list them on Etsy by the end of next week.

New Stickers

This weekend I worked on some new stickers from two small watercolor illustrations I painted back in 2012. I think they set a great example of what two best buds look like. The packaging was fun to design, mostly because the ratio of cute increases as the image size decreases. Hope you like them!

Sketchbook Favorites

This year I learned sketching with ballpoint pens is the best. Drawing with something permanent makes it easier to get ideas down on the page without fussing, and once they're there you can get the details you like with pencil. I've been busier in my sketchbook than I have in the past which is an achievement for me, but really I should be doing tenfold what I've done so far. And that's what goals are for! My goal of using my sketchbook for it's purpose has been successful, so now I just need to keep the habit going and continue being productive. I think that's reasonable.

Memo Pads

 In early summer I finished 10  memo pad designs for Madison Park Greetings that will be released in 2015. These were so much fun to do! The sizes vary from 4x5" to 3x4". Some of the original designs have since been edited, but you'll get to see them soon enough when the notepads make their way here. Can't wait!

Coming soon 2015: COMICS!

I am excited to announce that I have begun working on my first comic short that I plan to release in 2015. Later in the year I plan on finishing a second short about a robot, and finally introduce you to Detectives Kuro, a crime solving comic we plan to serialize.

I’ll be posting works in progress here, my tumblr, and on instagram (@twoblackcats). Yay! Comic things are finally happening! 

New Greeting Cards Listed!

Hello! I've been quiet again dividing my time between my day job and working on new items (memopads!) for Madison Park Greetings, which has been loads of fun! Meanwhile, these cards have patiently been waiting for me to photograph them so I could list them on Etsy, and it's finally happened! Each of them has a cute message inside and I couldn't be happier with how they turned out. Magnets from iPop have also been listed in my shop and there's more to come, and I apologize for how long it's taking me to list them! In the next couple of months new holiday cards will be added to my shop along with star cat ornaments.

 A couple of weekends ago I painted a small painting as a  thank you for someone who has been collecting some of my work. I even finished this in one day! Usually I draw the outline then come back the next day to add color. Until next time!

Round 2 of diecut greeting card designs for Madison Park Greetings! These cuties were commissioned for the everyday range, and I'm super happy with them! The final versions for the cats and the bunny vary from the ones I posted here, but I'm so attached to these versions I thought I'd post them instead! The final versions are just as cute though ;)  If you're interested, 5x7 prints are available in the shop!
